Boys, girls, moms, dads and everyone else young at heart
who enjoys summertime fun are invited to the St. Daniel the Prophet Parish's Summerfest, set for Thursday, June 16 through Sunday, June 19 on parish grounds, 54th and Natoma, conveniently located just one block north of Archer.
The popular annual event will feature carnival rides, games of skill and chance, a beer garden, food from local restaurants, an entertainment stage and more.
Event hours are 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Friday, June 17, 4:00 p.m. to midnight, Saturday, June 18, and 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19.
Unlimited-rides wristbands will be sold at the event, for $70 each.
Bingo will be played all four days, outdoors. Bingo hours are 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursday, 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
Pull tabs and jar games also will be available, offering everyone even more chances to win.
Tickets for Summerfest's Grand Raffle will be on sale. Drawing is set for 10:00 p.m. Sunday, June 19. Grand prize is $10,000. Second prize is $1,000. Third through fifth prizes are $500 each.
The entertainment lineup features a variety of acts designed to keep the big tent jumping and thumping with fun.
• Thursday, June 16:
Jesse's Girls (a 90's pop cover band) takes the stage at 7:00 p.m. and holds on for three solid hours.
• Friday, June 17:
Hubie Ashcraft & The Drive will play country music (originals and covers) from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.

• Saturday, June 18:
The Mulvanies (a local group of young rockers) will perform from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The Bagpipes and Drums of the Emerald Society, Chicago Police Department will perform at 6:00 p.m.
Stereo Types (high-energy rockers) will hold the stage from 7:00 to 10:30 p.m.
• Sunday, June 19:
Polka Generations will perform from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Infinity (a Journey tribute band) will close out Summerfest from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m.
