Investigate report of slashing
Three men told police a knife-wielding man slashed at them during an argument on a train platform at the CTA Orange Line terminal, near 59th and Cicero, at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, May 1. The three men ranged in age from 29-48. The youngest man was reportedly cut on the left arm and transported to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in good condition. Police offered no description of the attacker. No one is in custody.

Say man was shot on Pulaski
A 41-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder in a crime that occurred near 76th and Pulaski at about 3:50 a.m. Saturday, April 30. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. No one is in custody, and police offered no additional details.
Shot in drive-by near police station
A 23-year-old man was shot in the left hip and arm as he stood outside in the 3400 block of West 63rd Street, near the Chicago Lawn (8th) District Police Station, at 7:53 a.m. Friday, April 29. The victim was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition. The shooter fired from a black SUV, which sped away east and was last seen headed north on Artesian. No one is in custody.
Shot in shoulder on 60th Street
A 23-year-old man was shot in the shoulder as he walked in the 3700 block of West 60th Street at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, April 27. The shooter fired from an SUV. The victim was to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition. No one is in custody.
No one injured at McDonald’s shooting
A shooter in a dark-colored SUV opened fire on a 42-year-old woman driving out of the drive-through at McDonald’s, 7832 S. Western, at 5:18 p.m. Thursday, April 28. No one was injured but bullets struck five parked cars. The sound of the gunfire was heard several hundred yards away on a baseball diamond, where freshman teams from St. Rita High School and Marmion Academy were playing—causing players, coaches, umpires and fans to scramble for cover. The SUV was last seen headed east on 79th Street. No one is in custody.

A 30-year-old Near South Side man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested in the 6200 block of South Meade at 9:55 a.m. Saturday, April 9.
William Perry, of the 1400 block of South Michigan, allegedly hit a 28-year-old woman in the left side of her face during an argument, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating.
According to public records, Perry was arrested by CPD in June 2021 near 26th and Wabash and charged with domestic battery.

A 29-year-old West Elsdon man was charged with reckless driving and squealing/screeching of tires after he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 4000 block of West 55th Street at 7:55 p.m. Sunday, April 10.
Michael A. Cervantes, of the 3900 block of West 58th Street, was spotted running a red light at 55th and Keeler and drag racing, a CPD spokesman said.
He also was cited for driving without insurance.
According to public records, Cervantes has been arrested three times by CPD since 2019 on charges that included unlawful use of a weapon and violation of the Conceal/Carry Act.

A 34-year-old North Side man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested in the 3700 block of West 84th Place at 12:30 a.m. Friday, April 8.
Elias Samer Sammour, of the 3600 block of West Diversey, allegedly punched a 28-year-old man in the face the day before he was apprehended.

A 21-year-old Ashburn man was charged with possessing a large amount of cannabis after he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 3800 block of West 83rd Street at 8:50 p.m. Friday, April 8.
Vonyae D. Henson, of the 3600 block of West 85th Street, also was cited for failure to carry a driver’s license.

A 19-year-old Ashburn man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested at his home in the 3200 block of West 84th Place.
Jermaine A. Tyson allegedly hit a 20-year-old woman in the mouth, knocking out one of her front teeth.

A 25-year-old West Elsdon man was charged with reckless driving after he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 4200 block of West 55th Street at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday, April 5. |

Eduardo Gomez, of the 5200 block of South Lawndale, also was cited for four counts of disobeying a stop sign.
A charge of resisting arrest was added, a CPD spokesman said.
According to public records, Gomez was arrested by CPD in 2014 near 52nd and Kildare and charged with unlawful of a weapon by a convicted felon.

A 27-year-old Burbank man was charged with domestic battery after he was arrested in the 4500 block of West Marquette Road at 3 a.m. Friday, April 8.
Kamil Bochula, of the 8600 block of South Nordica, allegedly grabbed a 27-year-old woman by the hair and throat during an argument, a CPD spokesman said.
According to public records, Bochula has been arrested seven times by CPD since 2014 on such charges as aggravated domestic battery/strangle, reckless conduct, criminal trespass to land, assault and drinking alcohol on the public way.

A 24-year-old Garfield Ridge man was charged with DUI/alcohol and DUI/drugs after he was arrested outside the 7-Eleven at Archer and Central 2:21 a.m. Sunday, April 24.
Mateusz Szwab, of the 5600 block of South Newcastle, had been involved in a crash shortly before his arrest, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating.
According to public records, Szwab has been arrested four times by CPD since 2017 on such charges as driving on a suspended license, reckless conduct, damage to public property, leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and criminal trespass to a vehicle.

A 33-year-old Clearing woman was charged with DUI, using a cellphone while driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after she was arrested in the 5900 block of South Central at 10:35 p.m. Thursday, April 21.
Erica Huerta, of the 5600 block of West 63rd Street, was apprehended without incident, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating.
According to public records, Huerta was arrested by CPD in 2014 and charged with domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

A 70-year-old West Lawn man was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault after he was arrested at his home in the 6200 block of South Kilbourn at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, April 16.
Richard F. De Michael allegedly spat on a 65-year-old woman and verbally threatened her.
According to public records, De Michael has been arrested five times by CPD since 2015 on charges that included domestic battery (four times).

A 42-year-old man was charged with DUI and obstruction of traffic after he was arrested during a traffic stop in the 4600 block of West 63rd Street at 12:42 a.m. Friday, April 22.
Thomas L. Hawkins, of the 400 block of West Diversey, was reportedly found slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle by police.

A 59-year-old Garfield Ridge man was charged with violating an order of protection after he was arrested in the 5400 block of South Laramie at 8:28 a.m. Sunday, April 17.
Ernest E. Daly, of the 5800 block of South Harlem, allegedly was banging on the door of a woman’s home, in violation of a court order.
According to public records, Daly was arrested by CPD in September 2021 and charged with domestic battery.

A 46-year-old West Side man was charged with criminal damage to property after he was arrested in the 5400 block of South Archer at 12:43 p.m. Monday, April 25.
Joseph Corliss Kelly, of the 900 block of North Trumbull, allegedly slashed the tire of a vehicle belonging to a 63-year-old woman.
According to public records, Kelly has been arrested eight times by CPD since 2015 on charges that included drinking alcohol on the public way, reckless conduct, criminal trespass to property, soliciting unlawful business, possession of a controlled substance and domestic battery.

A 43-year-old Archer Heights woman was charged with domestic battery after she was arrested at her home in the 5000 block of South Keeler at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, April 16.
Mona De Leon allegedly punched a 26-year-old man in the head during an argument.

A 44-year-old Archer Heights man was charged with criminal damage to property after he was arrested in the 5000 block of South Kostner at 12:13 p.m. Tueday, April 19.
Krzystof Lis allegedly kicked and damaged a basement window of a home he had been evicted from, a CPD spokesman said without elaborating.
