Dr. Joseph Coler Named a "Five Star Chiropractor" in Chicago Magazine

One of the Chicago area's most respected and admired health care providers was honored this year as a "Five Star Chiropractor."

Dr. Joseph Coler, DC, co-founder (along with his wife, Dr.

Wendi Coler, DC) of Coler Chiropractic, 6657 West Archer, earned the designation from Five Star Professional, a market research firm, and Chicago magazine.

"It is an honor to receive such a prestigious designation and especially rewarding to know that I was initially nominated for the award by my patients," Dr. Coler said. "The men, women and children I serve are some of the best people you'll find anywhere, and I consider myself privileged to help them heal and live healthier lives."

Dr. Coler was one of only about 100 chiropractors who earned the coveted designation this year, among well over 1,000 practitioners in the Chicago area.

A Garfield Ridge native, Dr. Coler still lives in the neighborhood with his wife and four children.

A 1989 graduate of the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Coler started practicing locally in 1990. Coler Chiropractic was established in 1992.

While chiropractors are often thought of as health

practitioners who serve people with back pain, Dr. Coler has earned a great deal of respect and admiration among his patients for a head-to-toe range of health concerns, such as helping athletes recover from sports-related injuries, providing relief to those with chronic headaches, and even improving reproductive health.

In addition to his many years of promoting health and healing in the greater Garfield Ridge area, Dr. Coler is active in the Garfield Ridge Chamber of Commerce and supports local schools, churches and other organizations. Last year, he earned a Good Neighbor Award from the Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch.

He also was honored several months ago as an outstanding local business owner by State Senator Martin Sandoval.

The Five Star Chiropractor award is designed to recognize outstanding chiropractors who have a deep knowledge of their practice, are respected by their peers, and provide exceptional patient care. Chiropractors are measured using a rigorous, multifaceted research methodology which incorporates input from patients and peers.

“The research behind this award is extensive with each chiropractor being thoroughly vetted from numerous angles. We are proud to showcase these distinguished professionals,” Jonathan Wesser, Research Director, Five Star Professional.

Chiropractor award candidates are identified through peer nominations, patient nominations and industry qualifications. They are then evaluated on nine objective eligibility and evaluation criteria, such as experience, education level, professional achievements, patient visit average and cancellation rates.
