Thefts

008^th ( Chicago Lawn) District

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens in the 008^th District (Chicago Lawn) of theft related incidents which have occurred during the month of March.  In these incidents, offender(s) remove catalytic converters from vehicles parked on the street.

These thefts took place between March 10-11, 2014 at the below listed locations:

6000 Block of S Rutherford Ave.

6000 Block of S. Kilbourn Ave.

6200 Block of S. Natoma Ave.

6000 Block of S. Massasoit Ave.

5200 Block of S. Kildare Ave.

6000 Block of S. Normandy Ave.

5400 Block of S. Springfield Ave.

6000 Block of S. Kilpatrick Ave.

What you can do:

·        Be aware of this situation and alert your neighbors in the area about the crime.

·        Try to park your vehicle in a well lit area.

·        Call 911 to report any suspicious person(s), vehicles(s), or activity near your vehicle.

·        If offender(s) are seen, call 911 and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any vehicle description and license plate information.
