Michael Hyc, an alumnus of St. Daniel the Prophet School, will be presented with a Letter of Commendation from the school, as well as the National Merit Scholarship
Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program.
“Mike is an exemplary student, athlete and leader,” said St. Laurence Principal James Muting. “He is involved in all areas of the school and school community. Being a Commended Student in the National Merit Scholarship program is quite an achievement. Mike is very deserving.”
About 34,000 Commended Students
throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic
promise. Commended
Students placed among the top five percent of the more than 1.5 million students who
entered the 2013 competition by taking the 2011 Preliminary SAT/National Merit
Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).
